PLEASE NOTE: GAS PRICES-

Our pontoon rental boat pricing was set on January of 2022.   We include a full tank of gas for free.  However, due to the current political climate and what's happening in Ukraine, it's expected gas prices to increase.   If gas prices go up, we will charge a gas surcharge at the end of the day based on the difference in gas prices that day as compared to the prices of gas on January of 2022.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

The United States Coast Guard requires pontoon rental drivers to be born on or before January of 1988. 

Exceptions are the following:

1. If you are born born after January of 1988 and 30 years old or older you must have a boating license / certificate.  The boating certificate course can be found at www.boat-ed.com.  30a Pontoon Rental must see a copy of the certificate of completion 24 hours before renting the boat. 

2.  Guest under 30 must hire a captain / designated master.  We will provide a designated mater list of Captains / Designated Masters to choose from before renting.

WHAT IS THE CANCELATION POLICY?

Due to the high demand of our services, we offer two different cancellation policies.

SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY- Two week cancellation.   Any cancellation after this will not receive a refund.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY- Four week cancellation policy.  Any cancellation after this will not receive a refund.  

Yacht Charters require 4 week notification.  We do not cancel for accidents, illness or death.  We recommend renters insurance.

WEATHER POLICY

WEATHER - 30a Rental Company strives to give our clients the best experience possible on the water. However, the panhandle is notorious for unexpected weather and things can change quickly and dramatically. In many cases weather can change in 30-60 minutes and sometimes without notice.  30a Rental Company does our absolute best to inform you of developing weather patterns.  However, there is no way to know what's really going to happen until 30 minutes to an hour before. It's challenging because the weather channels are not always accurate. The only time we cancel and give full refunds is if The United States Coast Guard issues a SMALL CRAFT advisory for the BAY.  If there is significant inclement weather in your area (storms with high winds, lightning etc.) that develop during your event (pontoon rental) and we call you back to the dock canceling or cutting short your outing, you will be provided a partial credit. 30a Rental Company does not cancel or offer refunds for rain showers that develop while on the water. If you choose to go out and it rains, you have accepted that risk.   30a Pontoon Rental and 30a Yacht Charter does not cancel do to cold weather.  If the weather turns cold, it's your choice to cancel, but you will not receive a refund.  We also DO NOT cancel the day before due to the rapidly changing weather patterns.

SICKNESS OR DEATH- We do not cancel boat rentals and refund for sickness, death or injury.  This includes COVID-   We encourage travel insurance.

RENTERS INSURANCE - WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE RENTERS INSURANCE-  Due to the nature of the weather in our area, we strongly  encourage our renters to get RENTAL INSURANCE for these situations.

WHAT IS MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT

Although most of our boats are 14 or 17 passenger boats, The United States Coast Guard only allows us to put 12 people on a pontoon rental boat.   We can have 12 plus a captain or Designated Master.  We provide you with a list of drivers.

Where to Get a Luxury Pontoon Boat Rental in 30A Florida?

For years guests have had to drive all the way to Destin or Crab Island to get a boat.  That's typically a 1-2 hour drive plus it takes 20 minutes to park, 20 minutes to load toys down to the dock, 30 minutes for training, and 30 minutes to get to Crab Island.   With 30a Rental Company you can be at the dock in 10-25 minutes from anywhere on 30a and be at Crab Island or Destin in 45 minutes.

How long are the Pontoon Rental boat options?

A typical pontoon rental in Destin or Crab Island is 4 hours.  With 30a Pontoon rental in Santa Rosa Beach we offer 6 and 9 hour pontoon rentals.   This gives guests plenty time on the water to enjoy Crab Island, a visit to Lulu's restaurant, or enjoying the Destin Harbor (also called Harbor Walk Village.

What are some fun activities on a Pontoon Rental?

​The bay is full of fun activities for all ages. It's almost hard to list all there is to do.   The drive from the 30a area near Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Alys Beach, etc. by boat to Destin or Crab Island is fabulous.  There are several bayou's with beautiful homes.   Half way between the 30a area in Santa Rosa Beach where you pick up your pontoon rental boat and Crab Island is the fabulous Lulu's restaurant where you can stop for a bite to eat and a drink.   Just around the corner from Lulu's is the fabulous Crab Island where you can drop anchor in the beautiful crystal clear blue waters.   Around the corner from Crab Island on your pontoon rental is the Destin Harbor or also called Harbor Walk Village.   Harborwalk Village in Destin is packed with tons of fun activities, great restaurants like AJ's, Dewey Destin's, Margaritaville, Harry T's, etc.    You can typically pull up at AJ's dock and hang out for awhile.   In the Destin Harbor you can enjoy seeing homes and fabulous boats from the water in Holiday Isle.   It's also fun to just enjoy time on the water.

​What is Crab Island and Why is it so famous?

Crab Island is really not an Island, it's a Sand Bar.  The water is crystal clear and only 2-4 feet deep.   On a typical summer day there will be over 300-500 boats that drop anchor and play.   Guests of Crab Island can paddle board, relax on a floating pad, throw a football or frisbee, or just chill on a boat.  While you are at Crab Island on a Pontoon Rental small boats will come by selling ice cream, t-shirts, boiled peanuts, etc.

DOES ANYTHING COME WITH THE BOAT?

PADDLE BOARDS (YOLO BOARDS)-
Our 11 foot paddle boards are a great way to enjoy Crab Island.  You can paddle around on top of the water and see fish and wildlife underneath.  

 

18 X 6 FLOATING PAD-

A favorite of our pontoon rental guests is our 18 X 6 floating pad.  These pads can hold up to 10 people comfortably.  
 

TUBES or HOT DOGS-
Want to enjoy some fun?  Why not go tubing on our two person tubes or hot dogs. 
 

COOLERS-
Many of our pontoon rental guests don’t have a cooler.  We offer large coolers to keep your goods cold, or in some cases, keep your supplies dry.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?

A pontoon rental boat is a fabulous way to enjoy the water.  A pontoon rental boat is a boat built with a flat deck and cushioned seats.   It's surrounded by aluminum walls with doors in 3-4 locations.   Most pontoon rental boats in the Destin area are 23 foot, 50 hp pontoon rentals.  30a Pontoon Rental offers 28 foot, 150 and 200 hp pontoon rentals.  Actually, 30a Pontoon Rental offers tritoons.  A tritoon pontoon rental is smoother, faster and gives guests a more comfortable boating experience.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT IN DESTIN OR 30A?

Our boats are the largest pontoon rental boats in the panhandle.  However, the United States Coast Guard allows us to have 12 guests or 12 guests plus a captain.   This is a National Coast Guard rule.  

A typical pontoon rental boat is 23 foot, 50 hp pontoon.   These are comfortable for 8-10 people.  Ours are 28 foot, 12 passenger pontoons.   The extra 5 feet give our guests plenty of room for relaxing and having fun.

HOW FAST ARE PONTOON RENTAL BOATS?

A typical pontoon rental boat in the Destin or 30a area is a 23 foot, 50 hp pontoon.  30a Pontoon Rental in Santa Rosa Beach offers 150 and 200 hp pontoons.  These are typically 2-3 times faster.   A typical pontoon rental boat will go 10-13 mph.   Our pontoon rental boats go 25-32 mph.    This gives our pontoon rental guests plenty of speed to cruise through the bay.   Plus, you get 6 and 9 hours instead of 4 and 8.   Keep in mind, boat speed is based on wind conditions, current, and weight of boat.   The smaller the party, the faster the boat will go.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE US TO GET TO CRAB ISLAND BY PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?

A drive to Crab Island or Destin by car in the middle of busy season will take 1-1.5 hours.  In addition, if you want to rent a pontoon rental boat, it takes 20 minutes to park, 20 minutes to unload your car, and 20 minutes for training, and 20 minutes to get out to Crab Island.   With 30a Pontoon rental you can be at our dock in 15 minutes average from anywhere on 30a and be at Crab Island by pontoon rental boat in around 45 minutes.   Our pontoon rental boats are 150 hp as compared to 50 hp pontoons.   Speed on a pontoon rental boat is determined by weight on the pontoon rental boat, wind, and current.

WHAT IS THERE TO SEE AND DO BY BOAT IN THE DESTIN HARBOR?

A pontoon rental boat from the 30a area near Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Alys Beach, Inlet Beach, etc. to Destin is only about 45-50 minutes.    Plus, you get to spend 6 hours on the water instead of 4.    When you get down to Destin you can enjoy Crab Island, The Destin Harbor (also called Harbor Walk Village).   Once you are in the Destin Harbor you can enjoy fabulous homes in the Holiday Isle Community, beautiful boats, etc.   The Destin Harbor or Harbor Walk Village is home to clothing stores, a climbing wall, great food, etc.

LULU'S IN DESTIN ... IS IT CLOSE?

Lulu's in Destin is owned by Jimmy Buffett's sister.   What's awesome is that you can take a pontoon rental from the 30a area near Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Grayton Beach, Alys Beach, etc. and get to Lulu's by boat in 20-30 minutes.   Lulu's restaurant is located half way between Destin and the 30a area on the Choctowatchee bay.   A great place to stop for a burger, cold drink, etc.

BAYTOWNE MARINA

Baytowne Marina in Sandestin is home to great shopping and great restaurants.  Boats can pull up and dock for a few hours or the day and enjoy a meal at the Baytowne Marina Bar and Grill or a variety of other establishments inside Baytowne.

WHAT IS MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON A YACHT CHARTER

Although most of our Yacht Charters are big enough for 15-20 people, the United States Coast Guard only allows 12.  However, the rule is unique.  The person booking the boat is not considered part of the party.  So, we can have 12 total guests plus captain and crew.   Please note: On any boat rental or yacht charter children / babies are considered in that number.   The Coast Guard counts heads despite how big or small they are.
